Training Anywhere With Anyone Any Time

ABOUT US

We started Tatame Air to create a better training surface for athletes.  We wanted them to be able to travel anywhere and to anyone with style.  Our research, development and problem-solving have led to Tatame Air.  Athletes now can prepare training sessions to meet sports-specific needs and their unique demands using Tatame Air.

 OUR FEATURES

Travel Convenience

Our training surfaces were designed with the idea, “If you had to travel tomorrow, would you be able to train?”  One of Tatame Air’s best figures is that you can place everything in the Tatame Air Kit inside the travel bag to carry to your desired location.  Having everything you need in the bag make it easy to bring with you, put in your car or stow it away in your home.

Train Anywhere

Did you know it takes 125 seconds or less to set up Tatame Air’s training surface?  Yes, it is true and with this in mind, you will be able to take your training anywhere.  Try training in the park, at the beach, in the mountains or just outside your training facility!

Pounds Per Square Inch (PSI)

Depending on your specific sport or activity often you desire a harder surface or even a much softer surface to develop your skills and at the same time protect yourself. With other training surfaces and mats, a problem occurs that we call “The Fixed Mat Surface Problem” where once the mat is manufactured the surface protection is fixed and cannot change.  The surface is what it is for the sport or skill you are practicing.  If you want a change it, you need to get a different mat.  Tatame Air has solved this issue for protection and “The Right Training Surface” for your needs using PSI. You can control the surface that you train on. Make Tatame Air as hard or as soft as you require. Go further and find the right hybrid in stiffness for training because Tatame Air is not a fixed training surface.  You are in control of PSI.

Anti-Slip & Non-Slip Grip

One major issue with training surfaces is slippage while in use. We focused a lot of our efforts to develop a top surface that made it difficult to slip when wet due to the training of sports. Also through research and development, we did not forget about the bottom of the training surface with the use of non-slip gripping placement locations under Tatame Air.

Two-Year Warranty

Our Two-Year Warranty comes with all purchases of the Tatame Air Kit.  If anything happens to your training surface, we will replace it and ship the training surface to you as soon as possible!

Cold-water therapy or cold-water immersion is a form of therapy that involves immersing the body in cold water for various health benefits.  It is believed that exposure to cold water can help improve circulation, boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, release endorphins, and increase energy levels.  Cold water therapy can be applied in various ways, such as taking cold showers, ice baths, and dip pools—Athletes use this method of therapy to aid muscle recovery after workouts and training.  Evidence suggests that cold-water therapy helps reduce inflammation, boost mood and energy levels, and improve circulation.  It may also enhance the immune system and aid muscle recovery after exercise.

As with any form of therapy, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional before trying cold water therapy, especially if you have any underlying health conditions.

TATAME AIR AQUA provides a 1-year warranty for the inflatable tub against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover wear-and-tear, abuse, or product misuse.

ALWAYS consult your doctor before using an ice bath if you have any health issues!

DO NOT USE if you are: Under 18 years of age, pregnant, have a history of heart disease or high blood pressure, have diabetes, complications such as neuropathy or retinal damage, wear a pacemaker, history of frostbite, have an open wound, had recent surgery, epilepsy or any other health concerns or risks.  Using an ice bath can dramatically decrease your body’s core temperature. The immersion in cold water constricts blood vessels and slows the flow of blood around the body, which, combined with health complications, can cause your blood pressure to rise and give you a higher chance of cardiac arrest or stroke.

Side Effects

The most noticeable side effect of an ice bath is feeling intense cold. However, other side effects of staying in an ice bath for too long are: – hypothermia, frostbite, tachycardia (fast heartbeat), arrhythmias (abnormal heartbeat), allergic, and anaphylactic shock.

Our Recommendation

Despite the potential side effects and warnings, using an ice bath correctly has many health benefits. We always recommend you begin by spending a maximum of a few minutes in the ice bath and slowly working up to the recommended time. Never push your body beyond its limits.  Cold water therapy works best with the right combination of time and temperature. For example, if you’re in a 10°C water, we recommend staying in for no more than 10mins.

Temp to Time Examples

1°C = 1min Submersion   (33.8 degrees for 1min Submersion)
3°C = 3mins Submersion  (37.4 degrees for 3mins Submersion)
5°C = 5mins Submersion  (41 degrees for 5mins Submersion)
10°C = 10mins Submersion  (50 degrees for 10mins Submersion)
